Hi auntie,
We arrived in Trapani which is a little town in Sicily that sits between the Mediterranean and the Tyrrhenian seas.
Our driver was waiting for us at the airport in spite of our flight being one hour late. He was entertaining and spoke English well – said he LOVES
Americans—and even would give Italian lessons during any car tours if we would
like. He gave us more information on the 20 minute drive to Trapani than we had
received our entire trip—we were delighted.
Then Amanda found out that our driver was listed as the number one
attraction in Trapani – so there you go!
Our trip to Trapani was the foundation of our entire Italy trip, in that I wanted to witness the Procession of Mysteries – a 400 year old tradition.
The procession laster 24 hours and was very impressive.
Now, I'll make you an offer you can't refuse.
Be patient and the next post will be our visit to Palermo.
Ciao!
